Firefox… Guinness are thorough
It has been over a fortnight since the infamous Firefox Download Day, today we received an email from Mozilla stating that everything has been checked and the record for the most downloads in 24 hours has been officially broken/created. It seems however that the email was slightly delayed and actually it was official yesterday (02 July 08). Mozilla stated in the email,
“We set a Guinness World Record for the most software downloads in 24 hours. With your help we reached 8,002,530 downloads.
You are now part of a World Record and the proud owner of the best version of Firefox yet!
Don’t forget to download your very own certificate for helping set a Guinness World Record.”
8,002,530 ain’t bad for a days work. Yes, we do feel patronised by the offer of a certificate, but still picked one up none the less, a proud day for DoesWhat. Even with initial setbacks, the day went well. Firefox 3 has been considered as a success by us. You can get your very own certificate at ‘Flaunt it!‘. Have fun with that.
